29 9. Panoptes Panoptes is an adminstrator interface that allows the user to write custommodules tomonitor and control services. This will allow systems administrators to control many different services fromone singular web interface. The systemalso allows for installatioon of bespoke modules to allow the control of custom services. One application of wearable technology is a lifelog, a digital record of a lifelogger’s daily experiences often made up of images taken froma wearable device. Experiments by Denning et al. show that bystanders were concerned about the potential for them to be identified in images taken froma wearable camera. This project investigates different deep-learningmethods to anonymise personal identifiers in lifelog images, with a particular focus on face anonymisation. A framework was developed to accomplish this, with 2main steps: • Localise faces on images using Faster R-CNN. • Anonymise the detected faces using a conditional GAN, to both fully protect the identity of the individual, as well producing a natural-looking image.
