39 39. Improvement of a Pneumatic Artificial Arm This project details the investigation, design, andmanufacturing of a prosthetic arm utilised by the pneumaticMcKibben actuators. Throughout this project, there are improvements to the design, component locations, andmaterial choice for the robotic arm. The versatility of hybrid stepper motors in prosthetics is highlighted with the use of NEMA 17 throughout. The use of different thermoreversible support baths with varying calcium chloride content was paired with various alginate bioink concentrations and printing parameters to determine the criteria necessary for improving resolution.
