65 117. Correlation of theMorphological Features of Eggshell Fracture Surface with theMechanical Properties of the Eggshell This project investigates if there is a correlation between the features of the eggshell structure, such as the thickness of layers of the eggshell, the density of the mammillary knobs of the eggshell, and other characteristics of the mechanical properties. The equipment used throughout the project included the scanning electron microscope and an image processing software, Image J. Class Biomedical Engineering (Year 5) Project Area Statistical Analysis, Materials Project Technology Excel/VB, Image J Student Name(s) Ciara Lovett Email ciara.lovett2@mail.dcu.ie Supervisor Dr Owen Clarkin 118. NiTi ShapeMemory Recovery and Superelasticity Assessment viaDilatometry Nitinol’s desirable mechanical and functional properties benefit biomedical, aerospace, and automation industries. Their unique features include superelasticity, shape memory, fatigue resistance, lowmodulus of elasticity, and biocompatibility. NiTi is highly challenging to fabricate because of the high reactivity of titaniumand the alloy’s poor machinability. The technology of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) has been discovered to be very compatible with NiTi processing with the introduction of additive manufacturing (AM). The research on Nitinol (Ni 52%Ti 48%) is still very vague, especially when it comes to being manufactured by LPBF and tested in a dilatometer. The results found will enhance the fundamental knowledge that is already known. HouseMate The goal of this project is to predict the future housing prices around Ireland through the means of a web application, where users will have the ability to see what the state of the housingmarket will be and allow it to help thembuy or sell their homes in the future.
