This project incorporated a lot of control theory along with electromechanical systems and power electronics. Amodel of a DCmotor, step-down Buck converter and PID controller followed then by a FOPID controller were created and simulated on Simulink/Matlab. The FOPID controller was tuned until the optimal values were found. The created Factional order systemwas then compared to existing PID and FOPID controllers to see how efficient and successful it was.
