The main objective is to design a strategy and implement energy systems that would save CO 2 . EnergyPLAN is the simulation software that is used to account for key principles throughout this project. Using this tool, various energy systemmodels are designed, varying necessary parameters each time to compare and evaluate the best result. Both technical and economic factors are discussed throughout the project. The negative impacts of climate change in Ireland are explored here and renewable energy alternatives such as hydropower, biomass, and wind power are extensively evaluated. The ultimate goal is to get Ireland as close as possible to the climate change targets set by the UN by 2030.
