MICE FINANCIAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT PROGRAMME Bid Support Fáilte Ireland offers a financial contribution to support Conference bids, including assistance with the design and print of bid materials and the cost of travel, accommodation and meals to present the bid at the preceding conference. Alternatively, costs incurred to deliver a virtual bid are eligible for support. Site Inspection and Virtual Site Inspection Support Fáilte Ireland offers site inspection funding to contribute towards travel costs to Ireland for up to three key decision makers. Costs incurred to deliver virtual site inspections are also eligible. An additional € 1,000 has been added to support any development costs for virtual activity. Support will be available for one virtual site inspection and one in-person site inspection. Funding for the virtual site inspection will be paid on costs incurred and on submission of the claim as per letter of offer. Subvention Funding Fáilte Ireland offers Subvention funding that may be used towards activities to help maximise the number of international delegates attending the conference. Eligible criteria for this fund include welcome reception, gala dinner, social programme and in addition print costs, website costs and other activities related to organising the event. A flat amount of € 30 per international delegate will be made available to enhance the programme on offer, to a maximum of € 100,000 per event. Penalties will apply should the event deliver less than 50% of international delegates proposed in the funding application. Where the numbers fall below 50%, please note a refund will be required in any instance where the total amount due is less than the total amount paid. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA In order to qualify for financial support: • All applications must be completed online. Hard copy applications will not be accepted. • These supports apply to applications received between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2022 and only for new events. • If the applicant is a University, DMC, PCO or Core PCO, the applicant must inform the Association/Client in writing that Fáilte Ireland are providing this support to help win the event and agree to deduct the amount awarded as per letter of offer from the Association/Client in their final invoice. • Fáilte Ireland and Meet in Ireland logos must be displayed on event website and any promotional material in relation to the event • The event must include a minimum 2 night stay for all International delegates. • The event must bring in a minimum of 50 international delegates for a Corporate or Incentive group or 100 international delegates for an Association or Event, or the economic value of the ground arrangements be in excess of € 75,000 • Applications for support must be submitted at least 6 months prior to the event for Association Conferences & Events and 2 months prior for Corporate Meetings and Incentive groups. • Corporate and Incentive groups must be at bid pending stage when applying for funding To view the full terms and conditions of the MICE Subvention programme please refer to the Meet in Ireland website www.meetinireland.com/supports/financial-supports. * Financial supports are subject to budget availability and must comply with internal and external audit requirements.
